DAVID FROM
BARBERTON
David From Barberton is a music producer originally from the rural mining town of Barberton in Mpumalanga, South Africa. David's journey led him to the UK music scene, where he worked as an assistant producer for London-based songwriter/producer Anders Kallmark (known for collaborations with artists like Kylie Minogue and Pixie Lott). Returning to South Africa, he dedicated his skills to producing records for local artists in the pop and hip-hop scenes, including Kyle Deutsch, Beast RSA, and Gigi Lamayne.
Recently stepping into the limelight, David chose to share his musical creations under his own name. His debut single, a heartfelt reinterpretation of the 1974 hit "Magic" by Scottish band Pilot, found an unexpected home in a pivotal scene of the Amazon Studios queer rom-com "Red, White and Royal Blue."
With a track record that includes sync placements, David From Barberton offers a versatile and authentic sound for those seeking evocative, contemporary music for their projects.
