THE PLASTICS
The Plastics, an Indie-Psych pop band from Cape Town, South Africa, was originally formed by brothers Pascal and Sasha Righini in 2010. Their debut album "Shark," produced by the renowned Gordon Raphael (known for his work with The Strokes and Regina Spektor), garnered widespread acclaim and established The Plastics as one of Cape Town’s prominent bands.
Their music is characterised by evocative lyricism, catchy songwriting, vibrant grooves, and captivating vocal hooks. Fuelled by a passion for music and art, The Plastics consistently aim to captivate, inspire, and push their creative boundaries with each release. With three South African Music Award (SAMA) nominations, they have cultivated a dedicated following eagerly anticipating their future projects.
